A Few Athletes That Already Registered
Blessed with all the elements that make a diver’s paradise, Cyprus attracts visitors from all over the world for
its favourable weather conditions, top-ranking wrecks and diverse marine life. With warm waters that range from
16-27 degrees almost all-year-round, crystal clear waters, the island enjoys one of the
longest diving seasons in the Mediterranean, further enhanced by fantastic up to 40 meters underwater
visibility- thanks to an absence of plankton.
A range of wrecks, spectacular underwater caves and tunnels, and interesting paths await exploration
– always with the promise of discovering somethingunique, from the remains of ancient amphora and stone
anchors, to the exotic residents of their underwater worlds.
The ultimate resort destination
Cyprus is serviced by a variety of different international carriers. There are flight connections with most major European cities, e.g. London, Birmingham, Manchester, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Milan) and many Eastern European countries.
There are also connections to almost all Middle Eastern capitals. There are no flights
to/from Turkey from the south side of Cyprus.
Cyprus’ main airport is Larnaca International Airport (LCA) and is on the outskirts of Larnaca city approximately 67km from Protaras. Also all Ryan Air Flights are served through the Paphos International airport (PFO) around 179km from Protaras.
The Protaras Urban Buses Company transfers from Larnaca or Paphos Airport to Protaras and return with daily schedules, including weekends and public holidays to serve the transportation needs of all travelers with a current cost of EUR9.00 per person including VAT and luggage.
Buses handle city-to-city transportation on the island, while taxis are available for shorter journeys.
